Spears of Light
Many rays of sun can be violent
Ripping bone from flesh
Flesh from bone
Cartilage from marrow
Marrow from muscles
The sun itself is really
Just a monstrously hot planet
Made of cartilage
It might be filled with lighting spears
And,
Of course,
Find seriously great pleasure
In destroying what it’s sickly breathe breaths on
Below
But I think what the cartilage sun
Really needs
Is just a friend
So that it wouldn’t be so violent
And be on its lonesome
With unfriendly spears of light
