Copyright & DMCA Policy

Our Commitment

Free-eBooks.net, operated by Stirling Corp (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us”, “our” or the “Company”), respects the intellectual property rights of authors and publishers, and we expect the same of our members. Every book in our library is distributed either with the permission of the author who submitted it — authors confirm they hold the rights to their work when they publish on Free-eBooks.net — or because the work is in the public domain.

In Plain English: We only distribute books we have permission to distribute. Authors upload their own work, or the book is old enough that its copyright has expired.

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that any content on this Website infringes your copyright, please send us a written notice in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). Your notice must include:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (a direct URL to the book page is ideal);
  4. Your contact information, including your name, address, telephone number and email address;
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Please send your notice to CS@Free-eBooks.net with the subject line “DMCA Notice”, or via our support form.

In Plain English: If you think a book on our site infringes your copyright, email us with a link to the book and proof that you own the rights. We take these reports seriously.

What Happens Next

Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will promptly remove or disable access to the identified material and notify the member who submitted it. We will also make a good-faith effort to respond to all copyright inquiries within a reasonable time.

Counter-Notification

If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send us a counter-notification containing: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal; (3) a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; and (4) your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your judicial district (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which the Company may be found) and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.

Repeat Infringers

We will terminate the accounts of members who are determined to be repeat infringers of copyright.
