OBSERVATION IN YOUTH
Life is often an arrogant jest
Played by vain jesters
Upon a shabby stage.
A hollow repertory fit only
For a one night stand.
A sad performance,
Sometimes applauded,
Most times ignored,
Whose memories linger
Some for a while to last,
Most but to the changing of the cast.
