The meadow is a make believe world inhabited by an ant colony that interacts with larger animals in the area. Through three stories tracing a young ant through his daughter and her friends, we learn that this meadow is very special indeed, and the animals that live there are extraordinary. The climax of the second story will make you wonder how there could be more. But wait! the animals have more tricks up their sleeves!
