Book Description HTML
This book is a memoir of a very mysterious journey I took when I stumbled upon some translations from Melanisian pidgin (Tok Pisin) of twelve poems written by the Australian aborigine Eldred Van-Ooy. I would suggest anyone who is convinced that this too too solid earth is actually that should read it. I guarantee it will change your mind. The poems were published by Van-Ooy as a multi-page advertisment in a socialist Brisbane paper "The Worker" on January 27, 1960. Although the poems themselves are all dated as being written in January 1939. How's that for starters.
