Book Description HTML
The Old Testament is read by both Jews and Christians. The Jews see it as their physical and spiritual history, as well as prophecy of a Messiah and national restoration. Christians see it as their roots, as well as being fulfilled in Jesus and the church. That being the case, let’s look at these scriptures with fresh eyes and open hearts. This booklet shows in a nutshell how certain persons, events, observances, and rituals are reflected, in type or antitype, in spiritual realities of the New Testament – in Jesus’ life and teachings, the church, and the Christian journey. What is presented may differ from what is traditionally taught, providing alternative interpretations. So as we proceed, let’s remain open-minded and prayerfully consider whether the material resonates as truth or not.
