THIRD SPEAKING
The men looked across the river at the women.
They wanted the women, but what they
really wanted was the part that flowered
when they touched it.
Some men wanted the part that flowered
to be colorless. The women refused.
These men became women.
Other men wanted the part that flowered
to be red. Like blood. When it wasn't
red enough, they crushed the women
to make them bleed redder.
