I think I will dance beneath the moon tonight.
I think the moon would be pleased to do the waltz.
Maybe if the moon is really nice,
I’ll paint her a beautiful picture
Or sing her a somber melody-
The kind sung between two kindred spirits,
A song only her familiar soul would know.
I’d smile coyly at the moon-
Perhaps I’d suggest she stick around
For another dance,
Perhaps under the showers of the spring rain.
