sparkling

of anticipation
grass guards the back
of my summer stained clothing
half-open eyes
lips praying to believe
wondering what opaque veil
falls from this creation
pouring
golden morning
as the sky begins to breathe
out a question
percolating
dripping into my mind
contemplation
if God is dead
who taught nature to live?
