Absent Friends.
Where do they go to? The friends who leave us -
where do they go?
Is there some black hole way out in space
that swallows them up never to be seen again?
One day they're here the next - poof!
Gone, as if they never were.
They come from somewhere these short term friends
stay for a while then disappear
to the outer reaches of nowhere.
I miss you, friend
I miss our laughter, our conversations
shared moments, your words, your self, you.
