Maggie "Star" Faulkner is a prostitute who walks the streets of Cincinnati until one night, her best friend, Darlene is found hanging dead from a cord wrapped around a fire escape. She meets Sam, the friendly police officer who encourages her to leave the life of prostitution and Garrett, whom she suspects might be the killer. This is a suspense/thriller written about a brave, sensitive, compassionate, vulnerable woman named Maggie, and the love of her heart.
