Before you look to God as the source
Of your weal and woe,
Look first to yourself,
Then to the others about you
And see the hatred and sorrow
That you have so wantonly sown.
For when in death you stand
Naked and alone,
Revealed before the One to whom
All is known,
This truth will be revealed to thee:
Your sorrows came from your own
Lies and hypocrisy.
Yes, only from thee!
