THE KEY
I have seen the true face of the world
In the arrogant joy of those who stole
Their moment in the sun.
I have heard the true voice of the world
Choke on its pain and toil and anguish.
I have felt the true heart of the world
Mark its cold and silent hours
And beat with the agonies of desire.
I have searched for the true key of the world
And tried what I found in it’s sealed door.
Cruel in its mystery.
Uncaring as an arctic sea,
A sealed door And the wrong key.
